By accessing and using the UpTown Cares website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services or enter into any agreement with UpTown Cares. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
3. Services
UpTown Cares provides water treatment services including free water testing, whole-house water filtration systems, water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and related services throughout the San Fernando Valley and surrounding Southern California areas.
4. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
The following terms apply specifically to our SMS/text messaging program.
4.1 Program Description
When you opt in to our SMS program, you may receive text messages from UpTown Cares including:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Service updates and notifications
- Promotional offers and special discounts
- Water quality alerts and tips
- Follow-up messages regarding your water treatment services
4.2 Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us and your service needs. You may receive approximately 4-8 messages per month, though this may vary.
4.3 Opt-Out Instructions
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to (213) 838-9330 or reply STOP to any message you receive from us.
After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, you will receive one final SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
We also accept the following opt-out keywords: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or any other reasonable opt-out request.

4.5 Message and Data Rates
As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
4.6 Carrier Liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We and wireless carriers are not responsible for any delays in the delivery of messages or for any errors in the content of messages.
4.7 Supported Carriers
Our SMS program is compatible with the following major wireless carriers:
AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Cricket Wireless, MetroPCS, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Alltel, and other major carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4.8 Privacy

5. User Responsibilities

All water treatment products installed by UpTown Cares come with manufacturer warranties. Specific warranty terms vary by product and will be provided at the time of purchase and installation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UpTown Cares shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claims arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for our services.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
